Garrett Parks

In the City of Garrett, we have 6 parks that are all uniquely different.

HERITAGE PARK
This park offers a children’s play area, basketball, a diamond great for kickball or neighborhood games.  Our Garrett Historical Railroad Museum is also located there 300 N. Randolph St.  The museum has many artifacts including a mail and baggage car, watchman’s shanty and a C&O caboose.  Visitors can stand on the platform of the museum and watch CSX freight trains rolling in and out of Garrett.  Please visit the Garrett Historical Society.

OCKER PARK
Just west of Heritage Park is on Railroad Street is Ocker Park. A large Family Park great for picnicking, fishing, sledding, and offers a quarter mile walking trail.  This park is open to dogs year round!

EASTSIDE PARK
Located on East Houston Street, this park is home to our Heritage Days Festival each July 3 & 4.  An awesome  bandstand,  large pavilion, basketball, grill & picnic area, playground and small diamond are just a few attractions on the Eastside of Garrett.

WESTSIDE PARK “John F. Kennedy Park”
A great place to read, relax, or watch your child play on the play area or basketball court.  There is a small outdoor pavilion for you to picnic or just spend your lunch hour during our warm spring, summer, or fall days.  This park is located next to Sacred Heart Apartments and the St. Joseph Church Grotto.

UNION PARK
Located on West King Street equipped with picnic tables and a play park.  A nice get-a-way from the larger parks in Garrett.

FEICK PARK
Our largest park is located on South Cowen Street. Home to our municipal swimming pool, you will find many activities here. T-ball, softball, baseball, batting cages, and basketball courts are just a few activities beginning in April each year. A fenced in playground is located next to the private and public pavilion. During the summer months our municipal pool is a regional favorite to hundreds each week.  The Garrett State Bank and The City of Garrett completed a new Pool Concession Stand this summer.
